DELICIOUS! I did make a quite a few changes though. First, I sauteed some onion in with my ground beef. I used Mexicorn, and instead of the Miracle Whip, I used merely over 1/ii cup of fat free sour cream instead. I also used a packet of taco seasoning rather than the chili powder. In my pantry, there were some refried black beans I wanted to get rid of, and I figured this would exist a practiced way to do that. Boy, was I correct! I layered information technology on top of the beef mixture in my 9x13. For the crushed chips, I used Fritos rather than tortilla chips, and last but non least, I used ii cups of Mexican cheeses rather than just Colby. In essence, I guess I changed well-nigh everything about the recipe. LOL! But information technology was DELICOIUS! Ally

I have been looking for this recipe. My mom used to make information technology when I was immature. Just she passed away, and never had whatever of her recipes written downwardly. Suggestion: The recipes your family loves please write them downwards so if one day something happens they volition be able to re-create your delicious nutrient, and take pleasant memories when eating it.

Um, Hi!!! Of class this isn't real "Nachos"! It says Goulash in the title....honestly, this is pretty good, just practise sub. sour cream for the Phenomenon Whip.
09/02/2011
I really wish people would review recipes As THEY ARE WRITTEN. If I meet you put as the beginning word DELICIOUS I presume the recipe is really good. Merely then I get through information technology and everything about the recipe has been inverse...utilise some common sense people. Review the recipe as it is and then perhaps state what you did differently.

I tried this recipe but made a few alterations. Kickoff, I substituted ground beefiness with footing turkey. Always a healthier pick. Then I replaced chili powder with 2 tbsp. of taco seasoning. I also reduced the salsa to one cup & added 1 tin can of black beans in with the corn. Instead of iii/4 mayo I used 1/two cup of sour cream & 1 heaping tbsp. of mayo. One time complete, this was actually easy to make and then practiced! I totally loved it! My husband said it tasted like Nachos Grande. Information technology's as well is a good recipe if you lot have broken up pieces of nacho chips left at the end of a bag. I constitute the smaller more crumbled upwardly pieces filled it in great. Thanks for the new recipe!

I used Rotel instead of salsa and did non add corn. I seasoned the beef with taco seasoning and cooked a chopped onion and garlic to the meat while browning it. I also used half sour cream and half mayo. Very easy to make and the bf loved it.
10/22/2007
great taste, and the phenomenon whip gave information technology fifty-fifty more zip! loved the peppers, onions, etc that were in it from the chunky salsa. easy recipe and i will definitely be making this again. i practise have to say that next time i will cover it will aluminum foil because the cheese on top became hard and crusty. thanks! yum!

I hold with another review. This is ridiculous that people rate recipes according to how they completely modify it from the original. Please follow the original recipe first and so make suggestions!!!
12/05/2007
This is a casserole but it is definitely not nachos. Phenomenon Whip has no place in Nachos, and neither does corn.
04/11/2005
Loved it. After reading all of the other reviews, I made some changes - I added onion to my basis chuck, used 1/two cup Miracle Whip and one/4 cup sour foam, 2 tsp. chili powder and two tsp. of Tastefully Simple's "Fiesta Party Dip" mix (it was what I had on hand!) and Nacho Cheese Doritos instead of plain tortilla chips. The whole family loved it, it was quick and easy and volition certainly be fabricated again!
09/20/2007
This was pretty good. I used sour cream instead of mayo, taco seasoning instead of the chili pulverisation, and Barbecue Fritos instead of tortilla chips. Hubby is at present on his 3rd bowl. Information technology would be really good with some refried beans and put within a warm tortilla!
08/29/2011
I made this with sour cream and phenomenon whip, likewise added onion to the ground beef.
12/09/2007
hands down out of every unmarried recipe i've use on allrecipes . com this is the one i'chiliad most famous for. I'ts awesome just how it is... only my spouse prefers onion instead of corn so i cook that in with the ground beef. I have given this recipe out to soooo many ppl. I know it's not pretty in the pan, but in one case layered and baked it is Astonishing

We actually liked this 1! I had to change it for what I had, I used a can and a one-half of Rotel instead of salsa (drained information technology a little bit) and used cheddar cheese. A keeper for sure. Side by side fourth dimension I might sub Ranch Dressing for the mayo just to kick information technology around information technology a bit. VERY yummy!
01/28/2016
Hubby and Son whom I made this for liked it very much. I tasted information technology earlier baking and I was just a tad put off by the over powering taste of salad dressing. But didn't say zero to them. Baked and out of the oven. It was nicer in flavor so it was before I put it in. Simply will say, it was a tad runny and could totally use less salad dressing and more than spice. I had to use Cool Ranch Dortios because married man ate the apparently ones. Go effigy. However, I totally liked this best next forenoon out of the frig...it had that nice casserole flavor and I liked it better common cold. But I would make once again with adjustments of less salad dressing, more chili pulverisation and more crushed chips.
03/10/2011
This was delicious and simple to make. I did make the following changes: 1) Added a packet of taco seasoning to the beef two) Added a chopped onion to the ground beefiness while cooking 3) Used sour foam instead of the mayo. Y'all would think the chips get soggy, but they don't! This tastes just as adept leftover too!
08/21/2009
My kids loved this! My girl said she may fifty-fifty have me make this for her Birthday dinner instead of going out to a restaurant to eat. Wow...that's a real compliment. :) From other suggestions, I cooked an onion with the ground beefiness, used 1/4 C mayo and 1/2 C of sour cream for the mixture, and used 2 TBSP of taco seasoning instead of the chili powder. Great recipe, cheers!
08/29/2011
Merely finished eating another bowl of this a few minutes ago. VERY, VERY good and super easy to make. I made a couple of substitutions, still, because I wanted to use up some stuff in the fridge and lighten the fat and calorie factors. Commencement, I used up some turkey/beef mix I was saving in the freezer to make burgers subsequently. It had some onions, garlic, common salt & pepper, and some gluten gratuitous bread crumbs in it. Then I used a packet of Just Organic Southwest Taco mix instead of just the chili pulverization, a 6oz container of 0% fatty gratis Greek style yogurt with virtually 2 tbsp of organic full fat sour cream, a mix of purple tortilla chips and baked lentil-azuki bean chips (got these from Trader Joe's--the lentil chips actually stayed crispier than the tortilla fries), frozen corn and some freshly chopped zucchini that needed to be used, just ane loving cup salsa, and lower fat, shredded mexican style cheese. The result was all yums! Leftovers for dinner and lunch tomorrow! Hooray.
08/23/2011
Wow this was quick and like shooting fish in a barrel. We loved it! Made it in less than an hour. Its really filling too. Thanks for the new recipe. I've used two new recipe's this week.
09/01/2011
I don't remember I'd brand this as written, but it's a expert base of operations recipe. I could just requite information technology 3 stars because I made a lot of changes, which were excellent. I filled a 9x13 pan with layers, baking at 350 for the same corporeality of fourth dimension directed. Get-go, I used approx. ii.5 lbs hamburger (that was the size information technology came in), cooked with a lg chopped onion, 2 pkts taco seasoning, h2o, salt, pepper, stale diced garlic, and cayenne pepper. To that, I added (still on heat) 2 cans drained corn, two cans black beans (not drained), 1 can diced green chiles (not drained), and approx. 1.5 cups each of medium and mild chunky salsas. Since the pan's contents already had created a nice sauce, I added 1 c. plain Greek yogurt (unnecessary)(I wanted to relieve my sour foam for serving on superlative). I didn't want to employ Phenomenon Whip, which sounded greasy and gross. I took the opportunity to employ up 3 bags worth of tortilla chip crumbs (you know, the piffling pieces toward the cease of the purse that are too little to dip) that I had been saving for an occasion similar this. I layered twice as directed (meat mixture, chips, cheese), using near 6 cups of various shredded cheeses (sharp cheddar, taco blend, pizza blend, etc.)(wanted to use upwardly a few opened packages). All of this filled my 9x13 pan. I served it cut into big squares with a large dollop of sour cream and some salsa. My teenage son and my parents raved over it, looking forward to any leftovers. I must say, it was admittedly delicious. I'll make this again!!
02/23/2011
My husband loved this. I followed some of the other reviewers suggestions but I don't think some of the changes should exist made..... I used rotel tomatoes instead of salsa. Next fourth dimension I volition defiantly apply salsa. I used taco seasoning and chili pulverization abt one.5tbs. I added black beans and had to use frozen corn since I didn't have any canned corn. Instead of the creamy salad dressing, I used 3/4cup of fat free plain yogurt and about 2tbs of light sour cream. It tasted swell (I don't intendance of plain fat free yogurt by itself) simply I would like information technology a lilliputian creamier. So I will probably apply 1/2c yogurt and 1/2cup sour foam since the sour cream is thicker. I cooked light-green onions with the ground turkey. All in all it was very skillful. I think it would be not bad exactly every bit the recipe is written but I wanted to make information technology a piffling healthier. Past the way, the chips stated crunchy. I was afraid they would get soggy just they didn't.
06/15/2005
To a previous reviewer - I was given some very good advice a long time ago: "Never effort a new recipe, for the first time, when you are in a hurry, or making information technology for company. Something will go wrong about 99% of the time!"
08/27/2011
SOO GOOD! I did a couple of things differently such every bit using sour cream instead of Miracle Whip & didn't have any chili pulverization on manus. Made some beans & cheese, & mexican ascension for the sides. Hmmm. It was the best homemade mexican dinner!
08/30/2011
Love, love this casserole. so elementary and easy. i made it exactly as it was written. my grandson is a very picky eater but loved this and had 2nds. adjacent time i will add a spin of my own. will use my bootleg salsa, homemade tortilla chips, all in all it is a great dish. thanks
09/01/2011
The just change I made was added a layer of refried beans. My 3 year one-time practically licked her plate! Will exist making again, with the beans.
08/sixteen/2011
Followed recipe exact as well using ane/4 sour cream and the rest miracle whip. My ii twelvemonth onetime ate it up then did my husband. Will make this again :)
06/10/2011
I used less mayo and salsa than the recipe chosen for mainly because I didn't have plenty ha! And added jalapeno's to the meat mixture. I liked this more as I ate it just initially wasn't a huge fan. Next fourth dimension I volition try half sour foam and one-half mayo. Maybe add some chili!
08/29/2011
Awesome, quick meal. I too changed the miracle whip to sour cream ...can as well use greek yogurt.Added blackness beans likewise. I use Tostitos new Black Bean whole grain fries....it was delish!! Salad on the side. AThanks
08/29/2011
Well I brand some changes due to nutrition restrictions--low fat, low sodium and no MSG. It's still a practiced recipe. I added cumin, garlic powder and onion powder and occasionally throw in some pinto or kidney beans for cobweb or instant brown rice if the depression sodium chips have been eaten already. It's easy, fast, filling and relatively cheap and leftovers are dandy the adjacent day, if there are any leftovers. Sorry I can't consume it every bit written just guess it one of prices you pay if you live long enough. Recently found a 'natural' sour cream at Kroger. It'south very low sodium so I use instead of regular sour cream or salad dressing.
12/10/2007
Yum! Subbed taco seasoning for chili powder and sour cream for mayo. Love it. Wish I had thrown in some onion and pepper, but all the same really good. Hit with the kids! Editing to add: made information technology a third time today, but had no sour cream and didn't experience similar going to store, and then I used mayo, even though information technology still sounds weird to me. But it is just every bit good! Did a layer of refried beans between the meat and chips layer and threw some green onion, light-green pepper and leftover corn on peak. Yum! Looks pretty also! :)
09/11/2004
I give this one only 4 stars because of all the modifications. The base of operations idea was great though. I used a can of rotel, 3/4ths loving cup of sour cream, and taco seasoning instead of chili powder. I also used turkey instead of beefiness to cut calories, and sauteed a clove of garlic and 1/ii cup of onion with the turkey. In addition, I used ii small corn tortillas for a height layer with a thin layer of cheese to help bring out the flavor of the tortilla chips and it was awesome!
05/27/2011
This is a supereasy and tasty recipe. I fabricated one commutation simply to brand it healthier. I substituted nonfat greek yogurt for mayo. I also used baked tortilla chips. I didn't have colby cheese so I used cheddar instead and it was super yummy!
01/27/2011
I added sour cream in place of the mayo and added scarlet kidney beans - yum!
06/23/2004
I took so many suggestions from other reviewers, that the simply ingredient that remained the aforementioned in this recipe was the ground beef. These were my substitutions: one can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilis), 1 can Fiesta or Mexicorn, 3/iv sour cream, 1 bundle taco seasoning, ii cups corn chips, ii cups mexican shredded cheese. It had a piffling aught to it, but if our ii year old wasn't eating it, I would have used "hot" taco seasoning. My married man and I topped our servings with sour cream and jalepeno slices with extra corn chips on the side. We both had seconds. This will be made again and again! I give my recipe v stars! Thanks reviewers!
02/22/2011
I thought this was very expert. My husband liked information technology as well. I don't think I would change anything virtually it. Except definitely utilise sour cream instead of miracle whip.
10/04/2009
After reading the reviews from this site, I made the post-obit changes. Showtime, I skipped the corn birthday (my married man despises it, and I wasn't in the mood to argue with him!) I used one/2 loving cup low-cal Phenomenon Whip and ane/2 cup fat-gratuitous sour cream; I finely chopped some onion and grated 2 cloves of fresh garlic, then added them to the cooking basis beef; I used a combination of reduced-fat cheeses (I remember any types of cheese that you and your family like would work just equally well hither.) I also crushed 2 cups of Nacho Cheese Doritos for this, but next time, I think I will use barbecued Fritos (if simply at that place were low-fat Doritos and Fritos, we'd have it made!) Even with my attempts to make this dish a lower fatty recipe, it was absolutely delicious! My husband had ii big helpings, and the balance of the family unit polished it off! Give thanks you, Tiffin*Lady for submitting such a quick, like shooting fish in a barrel and delish recipe!
08/29/2011
excellent recipe. I used the sour cream like other reviewers recommended, and I also added a can of greenish chilis. I used medium hot southwestern style salsa, with corn and black beans, which really added some extra chunkiness and heat.
ten/13/2007
This was great and easy. I made it vegetarian past substituting refried beans and black beans for the beefiness. Will exist making this over again.
04/20/2007
This recipe was a proficient starting indicate for me. I changed quite a bit and it turned out okay. Not anything to make when I want to impress merely it was pretty tastey. Some of the changes were out of convenience/wellness and some where preference. I used ground turkey instead of beefiness. I didn't apply salsa at all. I used no fat sour foam instead of mayo (it just sounded likewise weird!). I used a packet of taco seasoning instead of chili powder. I used whole grain fries, which I would probably change if I made this again. And lastly I added 1 can of fat free refried beans. At that place was about two cups of the beefiness mixture left over and I used that to dip tortilla chips in afterwards. My concoction turned out pretty well. Good luck!
05/09/2012
Made this for lunch today and information technology was AWESOME! I added commerical taco seasoning to the ground beefiness. I had some leftover Black Beans, Corn and Yellow Rice (recipe hither on AR) so I added that every bit ane of the layers instead of only corn. I used a Mexican cheese blend for the cheese and Hint of Jalapeno tortilla chips.
12/06/2007
I did not intendance for this recipe.
07/14/2003
This fabricated a good comfort food dish. Quick and easy, it'due south perfect for a middle of the week kind of meal. I did make changes however - mainly due to what I had in the kitchen. I used hot salsa, added a packet of hot taco seasoning (w/o h2o) to the beef, also as some garlic powder. I didn't have whatsoever corn (travesty, really) and used colby-jack cheese. Yummy!
09/15/2004
Not one of the best for my family, my hubby didn't treat it. Possibly with a few changes it would be meliorate.
x/02/2011
Bully meal. I took Ally's suggestions an added whole black beans, replaced the miracle whip (never cared for) with sour cream and used Colby jack and mexicorn and added onions to the burger. The suggestions always assist. I'yard glad I read them before I beginning a recipe!
12/09/2003
Very yummy and smells great while cooking too! Instead of the corn, I added 1 can of tuckered blackness beans to the meat, and used sour cream instead of the mayo. Forth with the chili powder, I added about ane.five tsp of garlic pulverization and a compression or ii of salt. I used the nacho flavored shredded cheese and topped the goulash with chopped chili peppers. Great quick repast!
12/08/2007
My family unit loved it...used sour cream in identify of mayo. will make again and will utilize more layers and increase the amount of tortilla chips.
12/11/2007
My family really liked this recipe. I did make a few changes. i add ranch dressing instead of the mircle whip and i add black beans.
08/30/2011
My whole family unit of ix loved this which is a hard consignment in itself. I didn't broil it, equally we don't employ the oven in the summer, just information technology (doubled recipe with added black beans) turned out bully in the crockpot on depression for about five hours (I think). Used 2/iii sour cream and 1/3 mayo. My opinion because the chips absorbed whatever liquid was in there, it turned out with the consistency of tamales. Great recipe! Will make once again!
01/10/2012
O.M. - I made some changes (I e'er practise), and so I rated it westward/ the changes I made. First, I despise Miracle Whip, so I substituted with ½ cup of sour foam and ¼ loving cup of spicy ranch dressing (Subconscious Valley makes it). I cooked the beefiness with onion and substituted the chili ability due west/ taco seasoning & cilantro. I added black beans, black olives, and greenish chilies; for the salsa I used ½ loving cup of jarred salsa and and so ½ loving cup of homemade salsa with ingredients right from my friend's garden (fresh cilantro, crimson onion, garlic & tomatoes)- so that salsa will be difficult to recreate again, BUT it actually added something to the dish. Finally, I sprayed the entire mixture with fresh lime juice and a scrap of reddish pepper flakes. I used Mexican alloy cheese and the "hint of lime" tortilla chips. It got good reviews from the fam. Information technology too makes a cracking dish to take for lunches throughout the week. Also, if you take out the flake layer, information technology could easily be a layered chip dip. Thanks then much for the thought!!!
11/01/2003
This casserole was and so uncomplicated to make. Under 30 minutes!! I replaced the mayo with SOUR CREAM (only 1/2 cup) and the taste was much more in line with a mexican meal. I also used a taco seasoning packet to give information technology my pizazz and diced up black olives because I had them. I also offered additional chips on the side. This would also be a nifty party dip!
08/31/2011
I added onion to the ground beef and used taco seasoning instead of chili powder. I also substituted sour cream instead of miracle whip. My family loved this dish and information technology was so easy to fix. Thank you so much for this recipe :)
08/31/2010
A good alternative to just plain nachos for dinner. :-) I used footing turkey, whole grain chips, and subbed sour cream per other reviews. As well halved the ingredients and it fit well in an 8x8 pan. Next time I plan to add black beans, more than spices, and use more finely grated cheese.
01/06/2012
I love nachos and this def was a dish I had to make, my boyfriend hates mayo but def loved this recipe
01/03/2010
Peachy but non amazing
09/21/2011
My husband and son (age 16) liked this a lot. To me it was just okay. Still, I liked it a lot better past putting it on a bed of shredded lettuce!
09/thirteen/2009
ane tsp of chili powder is not enough seasoning. I added actress cumin, chili pulverisation, paprika and pepper. I used half mayo / sour foam. I couldnt taste either and so dont exist afraid to use mayo! Loved the corn in it also. We had whole grain nacho chips. They have loads of flavour likewise. This is a good family size casserole.
02/14/2004
This was wonderful! I used Taco Seasoning instead of Chili Powder and corn chips instead of tortilla chips and gave it more of a Mexican flavor.
02/02/2012
This was expert but could be better. Next fourth dimension I will use sour cream instead of Miracle Whip. The Miracle Whip gave it a funny sweet taste. As others suggested, I might attempt taco seasoning instead of chili powder.
12/06/2007
My family loves this recipe! I decrease the mayonnaise and add a can of black beans (rinsed well) for actress nutrition. We similar spicy so I combine hot and medium salsas and add together a bit of hot taco sauce too!
05/18/2012
simple and good
06/15/2009
This was then tasty! I used sour foam, colby jack cheese and taco seasoning. My hubby had two helpings and loved it!
01/24/2005
Was tasty and easy plenty to gear up. I did withal have the advice of others and add taco seasoning to the beef, I also used half miracle whip and half sour cream used chedder cheese and enjoyed.
12/06/2007
This is really pretty expert, with some adjustments. Kilty, give it a break, nobody said a thing most it being from United mexican states. I used taco seaoning, sour cream, and chili beans. Also, some hot sauce on the side. A cold beer is also a good idea.
09/01/2011
I'm rating this recipe equally it is written. We are not fans of Miracle Whip. I didn't follow all the ingredients so I requite it three stars. But equally I prepared it, I requite it 5 stars all the manner!!!! This was so succulent. My family LOVED information technology. Especially 1 of my picky eaters. Fifty-fifty the other picky eater tried information technology, and that was a huge pace for him. But I made some adjustments to fit our palates. I didn't use corn, Phenomenon whip, or chili powder. Instead, I used lean ground turkey, i/2 chunky salsa and ane/2 balmy taco sauce to my liking (not sure of the measurements, but I didn't desire it runny). I used near 2 heaping Tbsp of fat free sour cream and ii heaping Tbsp of manifestly greek yogurt. I used one packet of Taco Bell taco seasoning, and Mild cheddar and Monterey Jack shredded cheese. When I layered information technology, I started with the crushed chips, meat sauce, cheese. And so fries once again, meat sauce, a few finely crushed chips, so cheese and topped it off with some sliced black olives. This will definitely be our new "Taco Tuesday" dish. YUMM-O!!!!
10/07/2010
The recipe would have been good just the Miracle Whip was overwhelming...I feel that you should charge per unit recipes as written. I will try this again but follow other's communication and use sour cream in identify of the Miracle Whip.
08/25/2010
I love it. I use footing turkey instead of beef. I use a one-half of jar of taco sauce instead of salsa and 1/iv cup of phenomenon whip. I add cumin, onion powder, garlic pulverization and chili powder considering ground turkey requires a lot more seasoning than beefiness. I serve this with salad on the side or a vegetable. Yum.
07/19/2005
We all idea this was good. Definately don't endeavour to use leftover chips that are a little stale. I thought they would exist okay but still tasted stale. Will definately make over again!
08/xxx/2011
This was skillful, the whole family liked it. I followed the advice of other reviewers and used sour cream in identify of salad dressing. I tasted the meat mixture before assembling the casserole and found that I wanted more seasoning. Added Mexene and cumin a little at a time until I was happy with information technology. The biggest change I made was omitting the corn but because I had fresh corn on the cob I had planned to serve. I will certainly make this again and will include the corn. Thanks!
12/09/2007
I made several changes myself: I added sour cream instead of Miracle Whip (gross), fresh cilantro, cumin, chili powder, taco seasoning, red pepper flakes, and a tin can of refried beans into the mixture. I used Kraft's Taco Cheese instead of colby, likewise. I topped information technology off with sliced black olives and fresh tomatoes, placed foil on the tiptop, and baked for 25 minutes. YUM! Definitely volition make again! All my friends LOVED it.
09/21/2011
Very good. Thank yous for sharing.
05/23/2006
My husband has declared this his favorite casserole. My 2 and 3 yr one-time loved information technology too. I did sub sour cream for the miracle whip.
12/06/2007
Very good! I used a cheesy taco package after browning the meat. Then I used sour foam instead of the mayo later on reading reviews. This was a hitting with the whole family.
12/21/2011
1 of my family unit's favs (without the corn kernals).
06/22/2009
This is such an afforadable dish that will keep well if your family doesn't mind leftovers (and I like to take them for my lunches at work). Very yummy, quick economic dinner on those worknights when you want a quick meal.
09/27/2011
This is OK for being and so easy, but I would definitely try some of the other reviewers recommendations before I would try it again. I volition endeavor to substitute the mayo for sour cream, try taco seasoning instead of chili pulverisation and cover the casserole when in the oven so that the cheese doesn't turn difficult.
08/xxx/2011
This is similiar to a recipe that was a favorite of our boys when they were young. I apply ranch dressing instead of mayo/salad dressing and similar it much better. Pepper jack cheese works well too or whatsoever leftover graded cheese you have in the frig.
02/09/2009
Yum! The leftovers were gone before I could fifty-fifty think to swallow them! I added an onion while I cooked the meat. This 1's a keeper.
12/05/2010
Tasted great!
10/xvi/2009
Like shooting fish in a barrel and quick. A skillful dinner for the working mom!
05/09/2008
I like this recipe. The nachos requite the dish great texture, and if y'all have kids helping you in the kitchen, they tin can aid beat out the chips. Also, the corn is a good addition to the meat mixture. It makes the meat layer more filling without equally much meat. Also good for colour too. All in all, this dish was fun to make, serve, and relish, and my husband liked it better than Ortega'south enchilada casserole that I used to make nigh in one case a month. One other plus...I liked that this recipe called for salsa rather than enchilada sauce because sometimes my grocery store doesn't have enchilada sauce in stock, and it's never a bad thing to accept leftover chips and salsa. Yum.
ten/30/2006
My family unit Really enjoyed this dish! My married man loves tacos, but I hate the mess. With this casserole, we both got what we wanted! Our fourteen year old Loved it too! I used sour cream instead of the salad dressing, taco seasoning instead of the chili pulverization, sauteed an onion with the beef, and added 1/ii tin of black beans. I as well had some leftover taco shells, and then I crunched them up instead of using tortilla chips (I saved the chips for the leftover salsa!). The shells got soft, but non soggy - I thought information technology was perfect. This will definitely quite often take the identify of "taco night" in my firm! Thanks!!!
09/02/2011
I employ sour cream instead of mayo and too a taco mix shredded cheese, Tastes great...
09/14/2011
information technology was good but needs some alterations.
03/21/2007
We really liked this! However, I couldn't bring myself to put mayo in a "nacho" goulash....so I used SC. YUMMY! I used lower fat cheese.....which I WON'T exercise next fourth dimension because it doesn't properly melt! An 8x8 pan is the perfect size. Thanks!
01/11/2009
My husband and I just tried this recipe. It is really practiced and super easy. I followed some of the suggestions and used iii/iv cup sour cream instead of mayonnaise, i packet of taco seasoning instead of chili powder, and a parcel of shredded Mexican cheeses instead of colby cheese. Information technology was really good and only took us near xxx minutes to make.
01/12/2009
Yummy! I made some last minute changes considering while I was making it I found out I was having extra people for dinner! I doubled everything, but was out of basis beef. Omitted corn & added onion and spices when browning meat. Added beans and subbed reduced fatty sour cream for mayo. Layered meat mixture, refried beans, chips, cheese. Served w/ jalapeño slices. Yum! 4 stars instead of 5 b/c as written, information technology is much less healthy than it could be. Without sacrificing flavor, this could be adequately good for you west/ lowfat products and only layering once allows you to reduce the amounts of chips and cheese. Thanks for a recipe the whole family enjoyed.

Great, not real heady either. The flavor is OK. I ususally don't error that to the recipe, as I cannot smell. Not being able to smell, diminishes my gustatory modality ability to sweet, salty, biting, or sour. Only DH and DD thought it didn't have much flavor either. Cheers!

This is very expert and pretty easy to brand. Use a spicier salsa than you normally would. I tend to like mild salsa, just I used medium in this recipe and it was but perfect.

My husband and I both liked this ane. Like shooting fish in a barrel and quick to prepare on a weeknight. I followed some comments and used less mayo, otherwise I followed the recipe, as I like to do at least the first time. May attempt adding pinto beans side by side time.

What a Winner!! This was and then skillful. The adults in the household loved it merely as much every bit the kids. I did use ground turkey for a more healthier approach and added a pack of taco seasoning to the pan when I browned the meat. Finally, I added jalopenos, black olives, and green onions to the meat mixture. Post-obit others suggestions, I used simply 1 tbsp of mayo and added sour cream instead. I also omitted the corn since I didn't have whatever on hand. Finally to enhance the taste I added pico de gallo seasoning to the ground meat mixture and served the finished dish with a dollup of sour cream and guacomole.
